Çukurova Development Agency, established as one of the first two pilot agencies in Turkey, carries out activities to increase production, employment and exports in the region by revealing the economic and social potential of the TR62 Level 2 (Çukurova) Region, which consists of Adana and Mersin provinces. Aiming to mobilize local potential, Çukurova Development Agency prepares regional plans within the framework of national development priorities and provides financial and technical support to projects prepared by local stakeholders through support programs within the framework of result-oriented programs developed for the strategic objectives determined in regional plans.
It has been put forward within the scope of the "Institutionalization, Innovation and Productivity in Manufacturing Industry Results-Oriented Program", which is being implemented by Çukurova Development Agency for three years starting from 2020. The goal of the Institutionalization, Innovation and Productivity in the Manufacturing Industry Results-Oriented Program is to strengthen the regional ecosystem by creating and supporting interfaces for R&D, innovation, productivity and digital transformation in priority manufacturing industry sectors with high competitiveness in the Çukurova Region, and to increase regional competitiveness and exports by increasing the added-value and innovative production capacity at the level of small and medium-sized enterprises.
It is the provision of lean production consultancy for enterprises in order to prevent waste by ensuring continuous value flow and management, to achieve systematic improvement process, to have the agility to keep up with the change in the competitive environment and to have the vision to use the workforce effectively.
Providing commercial information and intelligence consultancy for businesses to identify their target markets, understand the competitive situation in these markets, identify potential buyers and develop a competitive strategy for the market by using digital commercial information sources. By using these tools, consultancy support will be provided for export processes from start to finish.
No direct financial support is provided to the beneficiary organization under the Technical Assistance Program. The Agency realizes these supports through its own personnel or service procurement within the framework of the existing budget and personnel facilities. Provision of technical support through service procurement is decided by the Secretary General, taking into account the workload of the Agency staff and the nature of the support to be provided.
In case the Technical Assistance is provided through service procurement, the total cost of each technical assistance to the Agency (including VAT) cannot exceed 90.000,00 TL. The procurement and payment of the service procurement shall be carried out by the Agency. It is not possible for the beneficiary organization to generate income during the provision of the support in question and directly due to the support. In the event that the beneficiary is found to have such an income despite this provision, the relevant income shall be transferred to the Agency. This issue shall be included in the contract to be signed.
