Applications for the Industry-Focused R&D and Innovation Project Competition, traditionally organized nationally by Adana Hacı Sabancı Organized Industrial Zone (AOSB) Regional Directorate, have started.
Applications will continue until March 15 for the highly anticipated contest of AOSB, which is not content with providing its participants with smooth and uninterrupted production opportunities and brings knowledge to production with university-industry cooperation.
In his statement on the subject, AOSB Regional Director Ersin Akpınar emphasized that they are an innovative OIZ that supports change and continuous renewal, encourages R&D and innovation for a livable environment, sustainable economic development and contribution to Turkey's competitiveness.
Akpınar pointed out that one of the most important objectives of the competition, which contributes to the development of university-industry cooperation and encourages academics and young people to become entrepreneurs, is to bring projects with high added value to the region, and noted the following:
"In today's world, technology is advancing at a dizzying pace. Therefore, both the structure of products and services and the demands of consumers are rapidly differentiating. In this process of rapid change and development, we have to differentiate from rival manufacturers and gain a competitive advantage. The way to do this is to turn to value-added products."
Stating that as a country, we need to move to a higher league in technology production, AOSB Regional Director Ersin Akpınar stated that this is mandatory for the balance of exports and imports to turn in favor of our country.

600 THOUSAND TL PRIZE POOL
Akpınar announced that applications for the competition, which has a prize pool of 600,000 TL, will continue until March 15, the referee evaluation will take place on March 18, the results will be announced on April 29 and the award ceremony is planned to take place on May 15.

Akpınar stated that while determining the thematic areas of the competition, the requests and needs of industrialists were evaluated and new project categories were determined accordingly. Stating that the competition will be held in 10 different thematic areas this year, Akpınar explained these areas as follows:
