Friendly and Gentlemanly Struggle
Not only the economy, but also the heart of sports, arts, social and cultural activities beats in Adana Hacı Sabancı Organized Industrial Zone (AOSB). The 2nd Basketball Tournament within the scope of the traditional AOSB Sports Festival organized by the AOSB Regional Directorate since 2013 was concluded.
In the tournament, the players, as well as their colleagues and families who took their places in the hall to support them, experienced moments of excitement. The basketball tournament, where 19 teams competed in the most colorful and enthusiastic event of the year, witnessed moments of sports and competition at the highest level. The best examples of the unifying power of sports were exhibited in the tournament, where spectacular moments and friendly competition took place.
In the semi-finals of the most colorful and enthusiastic event of the year, which took place in Adnan Menderes Sports Hall and 19 teams competed in 5 groups, Atlas Denim and ABCO, AOSB team and Reakteks met. In the final match, the AOSB Basketball team, which defeated the ABCO team of Abdioğulları Plastik Ambalaj Sanayi A.Ş. 37-22, became the champion of the tournament.
In the tournament where ABCO came second and Atlas Denim came third, Doğanay Gıda was awarded the Most Gentleman Team prize and Emre Ocak from AOSB was the tournament's Point King.
AOSB Regional Director Ersin Akpınar, who participated in the final match and provided morale and motivation to the athletes and gave awards to the champion teams, congratulated all the teams participating in the tournament, which was organized by believing in the inspiring power of sports. Akpınar expressed his satisfaction that the feelings of friendship, sportsmanship and brotherhood came to the fore in the tournament, which witnessed exciting moments, and emphasized that the tournament served its purpose.
Regional Director Ersin Akpınar stated that the tournament, which aims to bring industrialists and their employees together, to mingle, to provide morale and motivation, will continue traditionally in the following years and said, "We have transformed our sports competitions that started with football into festivals and expanded their scope. Our Sports Festivals, which we spread throughout the year, will continue in the following period."
